OTO Coffee Bar - branding, illustration, and packaging.
The brief was open: no idea, no direction, just a blank page. Dozens of creatures later, this bear-like gentleman appeared - somewhere between a rough sketch and a finished illustration. The owners stopped me right there and asked me not to touch another line. So here he is: irregular, melancholic, dreamy, slightly listless. Exactly right.
The OTO Bear ended up on the main wall of the café, on the windows, on cups and tote bags. A handwritten sign and a neon over the counter. And then - he went on tour.
His black and white, yet surprisingly colorful adventures now appear on the packaging of specialty coffee exclusively roasted for OTO. Tuscany by bike. Niagara Falls. An exotic jungle with a camera. The bear gets around.
